Richmond Beach

2 weeks ago we celebrated Ruby's first birthday at Richmond Beach Park.  It was a beautiful day and Gabe can't wait until he is able to run and play with all the big kids!

Growing Up

Gabe seems to be growing bigger everyday.  This week he even slept through the night twice... from 8:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.!  We all hope this trend continues :)  He is getting better at lifting his head during tummy time and is definitely more alert throughout the day.  His favorite "toy" at this point is a plain white cloth diaper that we use as a burp cloth.  He loves to hold on to it and chew on it.  The whole family is excited for summer!  The weather has been very nice recently, Annie loves going on walks, we all enjoy the cookouts, and this year we planted a vegetable garden and some herbs.  Mike has been working very hard on the yard and Faith is busy with lots of weeding and watering flowers.  Gabe oversees all the outdoor activities from the comfort of his bouncy seat in the shade (while chewing on his burp cloth).  So far his eyes are still blue... we'll just have to wait and see if they change color.  Mike thinks they will turn brown and I'm leaning towards blue.

Just a couple of pictures of daily life at the Carpenter home.  We think he looks adorable in hats :)

Mother's Day!

This past Sunday was Faith's first Mother's Day and the day started with a delicious breakfast made by Mike.  We went to church and then went to Olive Garden for a late lunch/early dinner.
Gabriel turns 3 months old tomorrow!  He is doing well and loves playing with his hands.  He tries to fit his entire fist in his mouth!  He is also mesmerized by the flashing of the TV screen.  We are hoping for the weather to get nicer and warmer so we can get out everyday for a walk.
Faith is very excited about garage sales this summer and has already found a few fun things for Gabe.  Gabe isn't as excited to get in and out of the car to look at people's junk  :)

11 Weeks and Counting

Gabriel has been doing well over the past few weeks and is getting big!  He smiles all the time now and loves sitting in his bouncy seat.  He is very interested in looking around and taking it all in. One of his least favorite activities is tummy time.  It generally turns into screaming time after about 2 minutes.  He also discovered he has hands and likes to lick them like they are lollipops :)
We have gone on several outings over the past few weeks.  Gabe even made it to Eric and Linn's wedding this weekend.  He did pretty well and slept through the ceremony.
Annie is still ignoring Gabe's existence and is hoping he just goes away.  He is still trying to figure her out.
This week will be filled with walks in the sun, celebrating Daddy's birthday on Friday, and learning to like tummy time.

Bellow are some pictures of Gabe over the last month including some from the wedding, and also one or two from our dishwasher project.
