We're Still Alive!
It's been a ridiculously long time since I have written a post. Mike began a very hectic work schedule in December that lasted through May and basically left us completely overwhelmed. He would work 6-7 days each week and at least 10 hours each day, sometimes more. Needless to say, it was a difficult season for all of us! Thankfully the crazy schedule ended and we are back to "normal" We planned a trip to Hawaii to celebrate Mike's schedule getting back to normal and to have our first family vacation. It was just the three of us and we were there a week (I'll post more about it & pictures later). We've had lots of projects (planned & unplanned) going on as well--car repairs, leaky roof, landscaping, building a storage barn, painting, etc. We are still in the planning stages for painting the exterior of the house and building the barn, but the new flower beds are made, weeding done, mulching done, leaky roof fixed, cars repaired, bedroom painted... I can't remember the rest. We are looking forward to visits from family this summer too! Aunt Jenna comes to visit in about 2 weeks and then Mike's parents and sister come to visit in early August. Gabe is going to love having them all around! We are trying to plan lots of fun, outdoor activities since the summer in Seattle is so beautiful, but so short. Gabe loves being outside and especially anything that involves water or dirt, or both.
