Early Birthday

Gabe's birthday is just 2 weeks away, but unfortunately no family is able to visit this time. So, Grandma, Grandpa, and Aunt Jenna sent an early gift yesterday. Gabe got a Boon Frog Pod with bath toys and was very excited to play with it. Thanks!

Busy boy..

This is what happens when I turn my back for just a minute... Gabe loves to take things off shelves and scatter them on the floor.

Helping Daddy

Over the weekend we finally got new bookshelves to replace the one that the movers broke 4 1/2 years ago. After two trips to Ikea and a little frustration while putting it all together, our living room is put together and looks a lot better now. Gabe had a great time helping Daddy put the shelves together.

First Haircut

Gabe's hair was getting really long, so this past week we gave him his first haircut. It was basically just trimming his bangs and hair behind his ears, but he looks much better now.

Rocking Dachshund

For Christmas this year, Gabe's grandpa Boston made rocking "horses" for Gabe and his cousin Marley. Except they weren't horses, they are dachshunds. Next year Gabe will probably be able to fully enjoy the rocking dachshund, but for now it is staying in Indiana (since it's too big to take back on the plane). But if anyone is driving across the country and doesn't mind traveling with a wooden rocking dachshund in their car, we'd love to have you bring it to us :) I only have one real dachshund in the picture with Gabe, but there were actually 4 dachshunds with us on Christmas morning!

Christmas with the Bostons

Back to the Christmas updates, we spent some time in Ohio visiting Faith's relatives and also spent a few days with Faith's parents and sister in southern Indiana. Gabe got to spend some time with his great-grandma Gross, cousin Marley, and grandma and grandpa Boston.

Visiting with Friends

We were able to visit friends from college, Mike and Laurie, while we were back in Ohio over our Christmas vacation. After Christmas, we met our friends the Longs (Andy, Bethany, Carter, and Piper) in Nashville for a quick visit. It was great to see everyone and visit even though it was only for a short time. The Opryland hotel was really cool and we're already talking about going back again!

Carpenter Visit

We spent the first few days with Mike's family in Indianapolis. Gabe was spoiled with lots of gifts from Nana and Papa and Aunt Dani. Annie even got to open a present (squeaky toy). The last picture is of Gabe in Mike's old high chair.

Christmas & New Year's Updates

Well, we have been very busy lately and are just now recovering from all of our traveling over the holidays. We spent 2 weeks traveling around Indiana, Ohio, and Tennessee to visits family and friends and didn't spend longer than 2 days in one place. We have lots and lots of pictures to post, but since I have a cranky baby boy who is getting 3 more teeth and is off his normal schedule, I will have to post just a few at a time. And if anyone was wondering, I do not recommend flying with a 10 month old. Ever.
