A Visit to the Pumpkin Patch

Today Gabe had his first visit to the pumpkin patch. We met Tegan and her parents there and played with pumpkins, looked at some smelly farm animals, and the adults ate some apple cider donuts. The pictures are just a few highlights from our visit.

Colors of Fall

Even though the pacific northwest doesn't get the same beautiful fall colors as the midwest, we had a few trees in our yard turn bright yellow and red this year. Gabe got to enjoy playing with the leaves and discovering what a pumpkin is in the front yard earlier this week. The pumpkin is one of three that we were able to grow in our garden this year.

New hat

Aunt Jenna sent an adorable hat and gloves set in the mail the other day. Gabe had to test it out before it gets too cold and he approves :) And... Annie had to test the hat as well.

Like father, like son

Amazingly, Gabe opened the side of the coke box on his own and was thrilled when red cans came pouring out!

Video Updates

We have a few recent videos that showcase Gabe's new talents. He likes to make lots of noises when playing now and is a noisy guy. None of his noises even resemble words at this point though. His new favorite toy is the door into the laundry room. When it opens, he gets really excited, kicks his legs and likes to make the door move back and forth. He also started to crawl (for real) yesterday, he had only been "army-crawling" and rolling back and forth to get to places. He still needs some work on his coordination, but is doing much better than just a few days ago.

Silly Boy

Recently, Gabe has been "growling" when he's happy and last night I found him chewing on his sock. I'm not sure where he's getting this from, but it's pretty cute!

A Boy & His Dog

(Notice how excited Annie looks about having the picture taken)
